Yaaway

Submitted by Samyciawood on Sunday, 20 September 2009

Yaaway.com is an online community, focused on the subject of Jesus. It is a non-denominational website and celebrates Jesus as the man and the lessons he taught.

This was an interesting design challenge as the design studio consisted of one Christian, one Jew and two non-believers – this made for interesting conversations. Rather than getting lost in a religious diatribe we stuck to our proven design process, which resulted in an award winning (Communication Arts) logo mark.

The communication symbols within the logo mark represent dialogue, as well as “talking-heads” engaging in conversation. Notice the subtle hint of the Cross between the green and orange quote marks. The quotes became a brand-element and were incorporated throughout the entire stationery design and website. It is bright and joyous.

Project deliverables: Brand creation, identity, stationery, signage, website
Role: Art director
Design company: Industrial Brand
