Elysian Coffee

Submitted by Samyciawood on Sunday, 20 September 2009

Elysian is a boutique coffee shop with two locations in Vancouver as well as a North American based consulting business. Elysian treat coffee very seriously, taking care and pride in the whole process from sourcing the beans to the way it is poured into the customers’ coffee cups.

The logo mark represents the different notes of flavour of the coffee, the two aspects of the business as well as an abstract bean.

The modern clean typeface design echoes the clean interiors of the coffee shops and counterbalances the more feminine, softer feel of the logo mark.

The packaging design utilizes strong graphic stripes to denote the different flavours from a rich espresso to a lighter coffee flavour. The bags have great ‘shelf-presence’ and attract the customers’ attention when they first enter the shop.

Project Deliverables: Identity and packaging
Role: Art director and designer
Design company: Industrial Brand
